ATLANTIS

Magazine of Geopolitics and Economic Competition

Winter 2014 ISSUE

This issue of Atlantis is mainly dedicated to the theme of freedom of speech and information in response to the ferocious attack to the colleagues of Charlie Hebdo in Paris. The Dossier hosts interventions that develop this argument with geopolitical logic and cultural comparison.

An economic deepening, always from a geopolitical point of view, concerns the international agreements of the TTIP and the new Silk Road.

Space then to the exhibitions of Palazzo Grassi and to “American Chronicles” of Norman Rockwell (in Rome).

The Italian-American Winter 2014-15, however, is also full of musical, theatrical and entertainment venues.

Do not miss, finally, an interesting article on the latest technological innovations about the world of watches.

Good reading.

Autumn 2014

Autumn 2014 - ATLANTIS

ATLANTIS ITALIAN AMERICAN MAGAZINE

Autumn 2014 ISSUE

Doomed to stay together

“The cause of America - wrote Benjamin Franklin - is the cause of all mankind.” In this simple phrase is contained the exceptional nature of the American role in the international arena. Today we see the world full of war theaters, and we might say with Robert Kagan, “The world is back to normal.” Today there is an almost unexpected resurgence of autocracies. These are Putin’s Russia (after a vain attempt of democratic reform by Yeltsin) and the communist and in its own way capitalist China.

The Italo-American Autumn-Winter, however, is full of events and no shortage of exhibitions and expositions for cultural tourism.

Note - among many other items - the always interesting interview with Arduino Paniccia on current affairs in geopolitics.

Do not miss finally, the embroidery journalistic and literary Ferruccio Gard article about the 71th Venice International Film Festival.  and the original article of Ennio Savi on U.S. contribution to WWI in Italy.

Good reading.
