L'autore ci racconta e ci spiega come vivere in modo virtuoso, accettando il mondo così com'è, ma scegliendo sempre di agire secondo il bene.
Ma essendo la ricerca della verità il fine ultimo di ogni scienza si può accettare una visione del mondo "così com'è"?
L'idea stoica di agire morale trascende le circostanze e le convenzioni sociali. Non importa se si è un imperatore o uno schiavo, ciò che conta è agire sempre con rettitudine e integrità. Una cosa si può dire con certezza quindi.
La vita è un continuo processo di crescita morale e questa è una visione che penso accomuni tutti i popoli.
Un chiaro esempio di come la filosofia può fare da tramite, oggi come ieri, con la Geopolitica.
Lettura raccomandabile quella di John Sellars soprattuto in questo periodo nel quale i nemici dell'occidente sono particolarmente agguerriti, per andare all'origine greca del pensiero europeo e occidentale e trarne i fondamenti morali, giuridici e politici.
